3rd Grade Science Fair Projects and Ideas

3rd grade science fair projects are a lot of fun because at this age children are eager to explore the world around them and find out how things work. They are constantly wanting to know the answer to the question “What happens if I do this…” and therefore they will likely come up with many different experiments they’d like to try. It may be difficult to decide on just one!

At this age they have a short attention span though, so the projects must be simple, fun and fairly short. There are many, many different project ideas for this age group, such as, who do all the kids in her class the same size hands and feet the same size as everyone else? You can research by tracing the other children's hands and feet on a piece of paper or other similar systems.

They were a test to see if it is waterproof mascara really waterproof. To do so would be a few brands waterproof mascara, a piece of paper and a little water as needed. Simply set theMascara on a sheet of paper and rinse it under water, you see what happens.

Another fun 3rd Class science project would see if turning raw eggs and hard boiled eggs, the same number of times. Of course they would need help with an adult, with this to the eggs to boil, and then just have to rotate each egg and record the results. There are many great 3rd Class science projects out there, it's just a matter of finding one, that they are interested.
