Science Fair Projects – Making a Winning Science Project Step 1b – The Scientific Method Part 1
When you are ready to prepare your very own science experiment for the science fair, it's time to make sure you know everything you need to know about the scientific method. The scientific method provides a basic structure that you will use in carrying out your tests. It describes the background of the experiment, the process that you will use during your search, and the steps you take to reach a conclusion to your project. Plus – During the> Science Fair will be, you have to judge that you follow the scientific method and that you understand what means to show each step.
No matter what kind of scientific research run for your science project, you must use five scientific steps. Cool fact: these scientific steps are the steps that professional scientists use when they turn their experiments – including scientists from NASA, that lead to build spaceships! Here they areare:

Well, here's what you need to know about the steps to create a really cool science project: research to create in this step, you will decide what you want to experiment, by investigate behavior of different things that interest you. Research indicates that you need more information to help you plan your experiment could be obtained. There are many ways to get information in the research. For example,You can share your own experiences, you can see information in a book, or you can use an experiment that you may be already mounted in the class as a starting point. I got the idea for my Science Fair Projects while eating dinner. I realized that I could savory dishes in a part of my mouth and sweets in a different flavor. I asked my father why this is done, and he said that different taste buds and taste different foods from different parts of the estuary. Welooked online for information about where the taste buds were carefully compared and the images online with our own language in the mirror. This year my project was to find out why, when taste buds in the mouth are for everyday foods like milk and bread and vegetables. From this example you can see that I have a question that I had begun by simple observation. My father and I researched the answer to my question, which together use, books and a look at our tongues in the mirror.Heads up: If you are doing your research for your own scientific experiment, you sure you do research on your own. I could have used my father to answer to my question at first, but I used library books, experiments and interviews (I called my doctor) to do my project on your own. Problem The problem of the scientific method provides the meaning and purpose for the research and experimentation. The problem is usually an open question, you need to go through the solutionExperiment. An open question is one that is not in one or two words, like "Are there any taste buds can be answered in the mouth." In my particular case, my problem was, I wanted to find out where taste buds were for different foods. So was my open question: "Where there are special taste buds for traditional food?"
Expect to be surprised, when writing your question. As I do with my problem, I realized that I did not answer what I thought I'd limit could. For example, Iknew that my tongue had the palate, but my father had also mentioned that taste buds may occur in other parts of the mouth. Not say why I am asking: "Where special taste buds on your tongue for traditional food are you?" Make sure you can answer your question by experiment. Your test is to help you come to a conclusion about your original problem.
Hypothesis A hypothesis is my favorite part of the scientific method because it is a statement about what you think ishappened. You write the hypothesis that after you have already done some research, but before starting your test. Your test will show whether your hypothesis is right or wrong. Here is an example of the hypothesis is, I have in my experiment: "I believe that different parts of the mouth in order to respond to different tastes. I base this hypothesis:
The front of the tongue tastes of sugar, but the pages do not.
The sides of the tongue to taste salt, but not the front.
Hereare some tips to help you with your hypothesis.
When creating your hypothesis, it is ok to explain why you think your experiment will have a particular outcome. Remember, you already have through research, that different parts of the tongue taste different things observed.
When you go through the test, you may find that you were wrong in your hypothesis. When this happens, congratulations! They have experienced something that professional scientists and everyday experience …This is why the experiment, after all do! Do not go back and change your hypothesis, though. It is expected (and absolute) in order to find out that your assumption was wrong (sometimes called the science fair judges to see how that too!)
It could also help to write down the hypothesis, so that you remember what it is. Write it down before you start the thought experiment in the experiment turns out differently than you, it would.
