When it comes to a science FAIR project, there are many different topics to choose from. First you should select a category that interests you. There are 10 basic categories to choose from:

· Astronomy is the study of stars, planets, solar system and the universe.
· Biology is the study of all living organisms, including humans, animals and plants.
· Zoology is the study of animals.
· Chemistry, the science of substances and it isTransformations.
· Earth Science is the study of the earth.
· Engineering, is the functioning of a machine or mechanism.
· Environment, which is the study of the sources and their control, ecology, recycling, reclamation, restoration, composting, acid rain, acts of pollution.
· Microbiology, the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and yeast.
· Physical Science, which is the study of matter and energy.
· Mathematics,uses the numbers and symbols in order to study the quantities and forms.

Once you answer a category that interests you is it just a matter of finding a question that you would be in that category, as selected. Might ask, for example, if you get Zoology: "How does the life of a dolphin differ if they live in captivity, compared to living in the wilderness?" and then would be the subject of research to find the answer.

There are many different themes for each category, so it's all aMatter of personal taste. If you would love a pet, it's probably with the biology and zoology, and select a topic to go there, you should not deal with numbers, problems would be better off to choose to resolve an issue in the context of mathematics' Category want.
